Florence County Chamber of Commerce
The goal of the Florence County Chamber of Commerce is to promote Florence County and its businesses in order to create an environment beneficial to the growth and prosperity of the entire community”. Some of the benefits Chamber Members receive are: Advertising and events that helps bring more visitors to our area, use of bulk mailing permit, insurance discount at LaChappelle Insurance-Auto Owners, FCCC Booth at Florence County Fair as an opportunity to promote your business, various discounts with other chamber members and support and networking with 125 other Chamber Members. Join for a yearly fee of only $100.
Florence County Historical Society
Located at 201 Florence Avenue
Open June-September Thursday-Saturday 10:00am until 12:00pm
The museum maintains a collection of photos dating back to the 1880's. They are avilable for viewing and purchase. There are both permanent and special exhibits of Florence County history. Group tours are available by appointment. Donated Florence County artifacts and pictures are accepted and appreciated.
Financial support for the Museum and for the activities of the Florence Historical Society are raised from memberships, donations at the museum, personal gifts and book sales. The Florence County Historical Society is a Non-Profit IRS determinted 501(c)(3) organization. Your membership donation is tax deductable.
Northwoods Geology Club
The Northwoods Geology Club meets every fourth Wednesday of the month at the Wild Rivers Interpretive Center in the lower level conference room in Florence, Wisconsin at 6:30 pm.
